AMR (Abbingdon Music Research) has unveiled its new Luna Series as part of the brand’s official relaunch at High End Vienna.
Stemming from more than seven years in collaboration with engineer John Curl, the Luna Series is AMR’s most ambitious achievement to date.
Comprised of the Luna Ingenii DAC, Luna Medii preamplifier and Luna Procellarum monoblock power amplifier, the collection combines AMR’s pioneering technologies with craftsmanship and expert engineering.

Key features of the Series include what AMR says is a world-first four-quadrant fully balanced FET (field effect transistor) amplifier. Procellarum’s architecture is designed to deliver a fully symmetrical operation with control across all load conditions.
For the Ingenii DAC, its 32-bit engine employs two TDA1541A and eight AD1862 chips with over 700 supporting components, alongside a proprietary 128-stage discrete Direct DSD ‘Stonehenge’ engine.
For the Medii, its ‘Zero In-Line Element’ volume control operates without a potentiometer, stepped attenuator or volume IC in the signal path, while AirLock power tech within the range electrically isolates from the AC mains, with battery-like low-impedance energy delivery and active noise cancellation.

Also inside is pure silver wiring, Audio Note’s Silver Tantalum resistors, custom Teflon capacitors, Exicon lateral MOSFETs, WBT NextGen silver connectors, and hand-matched NOS tubes throughout.
Production will be strictly limited to 176 Luna Ingenii DACs, 186 Luna Medii preamplifiers, and 148 pairs of Luna Procellarum amps, with AMR committing to lifetime service and support for every owner.
The Luna Series will be available through AMR’s private client programme and a select network of authorised dealers worldwide.
