MoFi Sourcepoint 11

Triple eight

Teased as this year’s Hi-Fi Show Live, MoFi’s SourcePoint 888 have now been formally released.

Featuring a trio of 8″ drivers (hence the name), their three-way design employs the unique concentric driver from the award-winning SourcePoint 8 design. This driver combines a twin drive magnet structure with a paper pulp cone and concentrically mounted 1.25″ soft dome tweeter at its centre.

Joining this on low frequency duties are dedicated twin 8″ woofers which operate below 130Hz, relieving the concentric driver from the task of producing deep bass while allowing it to be fully optimised for midrange and treble performance.

Their cabinets also sport two rear-firing ports, helping the SourcePoint 888 achieve a 32Hz-30kHz frequency response.

Available with satin black painted baffles in either satin white, satin black (to special order), satin real wood walnut or black ash veneered cabinets, the SourcePoint 888 costs £5,599.
