First heard at Bristol 2025, QUAD has officially unveiled details of its latest full-range electrostatic loudspeakers, the ESL 2812X and ESL 2912X.
Penned by the perfectionist hand of Peter Comeau, these sixth generation upgrades include refinements to the production process with operational electronics revised from a single PCB into three separate, fully optimised modules.
They also get custom-designed, UK-built audio transformers to further raise their performance and a new stealthy aesthetic with low-reflectivity matt black finish and LED Halo for added visual drama.
And having heard these in anger some months ago, I can vouch for just how good they sound.
