Musical Fidelity is continuing to expand its ultimate Nu-Vista range, with the launch of its new Vinyl S dedicated moving-magnet (MM) and moving-coil (MC) phono stage.
Boasting many of the same features and design benefits of the flagship Nu-Vista Vinyl 2, the Vinyl S sports a new smaller chassis and smaller price tag than its bigger brother at £5,499 (vs £9,999).
Features include a new slimline remote control plus single-ended and balanced inputs and outputs, served by fully balanced and discrete electrical circuits housing eight 7586 nuvistor tubes.
Its settings can cater for split-passive RIAA, DECCA and COLOMBIA EQ curves, plus there’s four selectable gain settings, individually tailored for MM and MC cartridges.
Input impedance and capacitance can also be individually set over ranges of 5–47kΩ and 50–400pF respectively.
