Belt up

Audio-Technica has today introduced its new AT-LP7X fully manual belt-driven turntable.

And minimalism is the name of its game thanks to a matte black finish, heavy MDF plinth and thick acrylic platter.

Its J-shaped aluminium tonearm is inspired by Audio-Technica’s designs from decades past while offering adjustable VTA (and anti-skate), coming ready fitted with one of the brand’s AT-VM95E cartridges (with easy upgrade options across its VM95 Series).

Other features include switchable moving-magnet/moving-coil outputs, optical speed control and an external power supply to keep noise to a minimum.

Priced at £679, visit Audio-Technica to find out more and if you’re at this year’s CES you can see it in it’s belt-driven flesh in person.
