In full flow

LEAK is continuing to mark its return to British hifi with the launch of its new TruStream network audio player.

Resplendent in LEAK’s classic mid-century design language, the new model is fully fit for 2026 thanks to connectivity spanning dual-band wifi and Gigabit Ethernet for network streaming, plus a USB-C input for PC/Mac connection and two USB-A ports for externally stored media, or hooking up an external DAC.

Outputs include optical and coaxial on the digital side, with analogue covered thanks to balanced XLR and single-ended RCAs, and there’s a front panel headphone socket too.

On the software side, its streaming engine comes from digital specialist Silent Angel married to LEAK’s own circuit designs, while an ARM Cortex-A72 and Cortex-A53 multi-core CPUs serve up the internal processing power for its ESS Sabre 32-bit DAC chip.

As you’d expect all the go-to streaming platforms are fully integrated including Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect and TuneIn (the latter alongside Silent Angel’s own Internet Radio facility), which can be accessed via a dedicated app based on Silent Angel’s VitOS software (for iOS and Android devices). It’s ROON ready too with RAAT (Roon Advanced Audio Transport).
