Slovakian high-end electronics specialist Canor Audio is adding two new products to its Performance Line, with the Verto D3 tube DAC and Asterion V3 tube phono preamplifier.
The statement (£3,799) Verto D3 is built around a fully balanced, dual-mono discrete architecture with its output stage driven by four carefully matched E88CC tubes operating in pure Class A.

Elsewhere galvanically isolated digital inputs are there to eliminate noise contamination between sources, while a powerful multi-core XMOS microcontroller handles signal processing up to 768 kHz PCM and native 512 DSD.
Its chassis combines machined aluminium and steel, and features a touchscreen with integrated precision-bearing control knob.

The Asterion V3 supports both moving-magnet (MM) and moving-coil (MC) cartridges, with single ended inputs, plus and balanced (XLR) for MC pick-ups, alongside extensive variability in resistance and capacitance loading.
Add to this a top-of-the-line Lundahl step-up transformer handling MC amplification and RIAA correction using a fully passive network, built with high-quality polystyrene and polypropylene capacitors and you can see where the £4,199 price tag is spent.
For dual deck and tonearm users, two cartridges (one MM, one MC) can be connected simultaneously and switched between seamlessly, with control via a touchscreen integrated into the front panel and remote control.
