Black Rhodium has announced its new Minuet loudspeaker cable.
Aimed at systems with speakers priced up to £1,500, Minuet boasts a layer of highly conductive silver on its outer surface, targeted specifically where high frequency signals travel, bringing the sonic benefits of pure silver, but without the associated costs.
The conductor itself is formed from a 3mm² cross section, while an outer damping braid running the full length of the cable is there to reduce vibrations entering the inner cable. These conductors are then twisted together to minimise intermodulation distortion, caused by high‑frequency noise.
Add to this large powerful in-line ferrite cores to block high frequency noise and interference and the brand’s gold‑plated 4mm Z‑plugs (with spade connectors also available at no extra cost), and the Minuet looks like having a lot to offer.
