Astell&Kern is all set for debuting its new PD5 digital audio player (DAP) – the successor to the A&norma SR35 – at this weekend’s Hong Kong AV show.
Designed to fit comfortably in one hand, the PD5 packs a switchable Quad/Octa-DAC, 28 hours of continuous playback and EnviroTune to analyse ambient noise for sounds optimised to the listener’s surroundings, all within its aluminium body.
At its core sit eight Cirrus Logic CS43198 chips, offering up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM and native DSD256 support, with dual-band wifi and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity also included.
