Moon 891

Moon over the water

High-end audio distributor Renaissance has announced that MOON’s hotly anticipated 891 network player/preamp is now available in the UK.

As the flagship source and preamp in MOON’s recently launched North Collection, the 891 embodies decades of R&D and comes packed with the brand’s leading tech.

Its internals include MOON’s Damping Base (MDB) mechanical suspension system, that’s designed to suppress parasitic vibrations which cause microphonic noise.

Watch our exclusive interview with MOON Product Director Dominique Poupart and Chief Commercial Officer Étienne Gautier.

The 891 also makes the most of MOON’s MiND2 streaming platform, offering seamlessly integration with the MiND Controller app with support for AirPlay, Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect alongside being Roon Ready.

At its heart sits a dual-mono 32-bit MDE3 digital engine able to decode PCM, MQA, and DSD signals, while a 5” graphic colour screen with menu interface looks everybit modern high-end audio. Add to this an internal phono stage and it’s quite the package.

Costing a cool £25,000, visit MOON by Simaudio and Renaissance in the UK to find out more.
