Japan’s Rotel needs no introduction, offering models spanning entry level to ultra hi-end and its new A8 Integrated Amplifier is where it all begins.
Priced at just £399 its slimline slim 60mm high chassis packs the essentials with three sets of analogue RCA inputs, plus an in-built moving-magnet phono stage for vinyl fans.
Its 30W of stereo power into 8 ohms (40W into 4 ohms) comes courtesy of an in-house manufactured, bespoke, high-current toroidal transformer, as you’d expect from Rotel, while front panel controls include bass, treble and balance adjustment alongside a 1/8” headphone jack. And to top it off there’s also a remote control included.
