Baby you’re the one

VPI has unveiled its Model One turntable, as the first in its new Forever Series.

At its heart spins a new motor drive and platter module, with the latter mounted on a thick aluminium plate and featuring resonance-cancelling damping to reduce vibration, aided by the platter’s inverted bearing.

Bucking the turntable trend, the Model One introduces VPI’s new 3-Point Floating Suspension system, designed for superior isolation from external vibrations, including from its belt-driven 500rpm motor with a two-speed pulley.

VPI S-Tonearm

Added to this is VPI’s all new statically balanced 10″ S-Tonearm (with the ‘S’ denoting its wand shape), formed from solid aluminium with ABEC 5 bearings. Vertical Tracking Adjustment and Azimuth finessing are both on offer, while a continuous length of VPI high-purity copper wire from its headshell to its RCA connections ensure a pure signal is delivered from your cartridge of choice.

Invest to upgrade

The modular design of the deck’s motor drive and platter allows users to easily service and upgrade their deck to Model Two and Model Three specifications as options become available. And with a 10-year warranty, it’s easy to see how the Forever Series got its name.

Available in black ash veneer with a hinged clear dust cover, the Model One costs £4,990. Find out more at Renaissance Audio.
