Origin Live has announced its new Ground Anchor, that’s designed to connect between a tonearm’s ground and phono stage.
The demure box is designed to reduce airborne, mains, system and microphonic component noise which can all have a detrimental effect on the delicate signals produced during vinyl playback.

Made to spec for Origin Live by Puritan Audio Labs, the Ground Anchor is the result of a collaboration stemming from Mike Lester (PAL) often dropping a Puritan product off to the Origin Live team with impressive results, and also being the owner of an Origin Live Agile tonearm in his reference system.
Unique to the Ground Anchor are its three grounding posts on the cartridge signal side of the unit for Origin Live’s premium tonearm cables, which use multiple grounding wires for the tonearm structure, cable shielding, and signal, all in a bid to reduce hum.
This also means that the Ground Anchor can also serve as a grounding box for up to three tonearms at once.

Universally compatible with all tonearms and all phono stages, the Ground Anchor costs £545 and comes with a 50cm copper ground cable featuring a one banana type connector on one end, vwith adaptable attachments for banana (gold plated), spade, and spring clip terminations on the other.
