Astell&Kern has teamed up with Sweden’s Audiodo, to launch a digital audio player that can be uniquely customised for a listener’s hearing.
Priced at £1,700, the new PD20 comes with dedicated earphones that allow you to perform a hearing test, to which the player’s output is tailored.
You can choose to tweak further to suit your specific tastes, too. And that’s not all as other on-board tech includes Spatial Audio support thanks to its new AMP/DAC architecture.
As you’d expect the PD20’s build is typical Astell&Kern, meaning a sleek and robust aluminium chassis hosting triple-amp architecture, allowing for real-time switching between Class A, Class AB and Hybrid amplification modes, while its quad ESS ES9027PRO DAC offers Digital Audio Remaster tech.
