British audio specialist Cyrus has announced its all new range of electronics. Proudly UK made, the four strong 40 Series includes the integrated 40 AMP, 40 CD spinner, 40 ST network player with BluOS built-in and 40 PSU external power supply, with an all-new phono preamplifier joining the range in 2025.
With 100W per channel on offer (into 6 ohms) and an over-specified power supply, the 40 AMP boasts a 5” hi-res full colour TFT display and houses its own DAC, based on ESS’s latest ES9039Q2M chipset.
Alongside digital and analogue connections, the 40 AMP also sports an moving-magnet phono stage with many features inherited from the brand’s Classic PHONO model.
The 40 CD includes a redesigned power supply to minimise unwanted interaction between its high current servo and system controls and its digital and analogue signals, with nine individual stage regulators smoothing and distributing power.
Built around the same ESS DAC that’s in the 40 AMP, the 40 ST offers file support up to 24-bit/192kHz for over 20 natively integrated streaming services, thousands of radio stations and local music libraries while offering Roon, Airplay 2 and MQA decoding.
And this being Cyrus, the range’s external power supply has also been fully considered sporting its own on-board micro-processor and offering connectivity to all products in the 40 Series.
The 40 AMP costs £3,995, while the 40 CD costs £2,995. The 40 ST comes in at £2,995 and the 40 PSU is priced at £2,495.
