Get compact

Swiss audio Svengali Nagra has announced its new Compact Player music streamer.

Taking its place in the brand’s Compact Series of smaller footprint occupying components, it applies the network audio architecture of Nagra’s Streamer network bridge and adds a technically enhanced DAC stage with volume control, to connect directly to an analogue integrated amp, power amp or active speakers.

With an enclosure machined from a solid aluminium billet and measuring 16.6×4.1×18.5cm (WHD), it adheres to Nagra’s design principle of ‘as large as necessary and no larger’.

Proprietary tech includes the brand’s unique clock generator and power regulation, with support for Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect, vTuner and AirPlay 2 streaming services, alongside local storage playback via UPnP/DLNA and USB.

It’s also compatible with multiple music player/management apps and platforms including mConnect (default control app), Roon (certified ‘Roon Ready’) and Audirvāna (certified ‘Plays with Audirvāna’).

And it that’s not enough, the Compact Player’s external power supply can be further upgraded by adding Nagra’s Compact PSU.
