Michi X430

Michi goes prestige

Rotel is broadening out its elite Michi line with the launch of two new models, billed as a more affordable way into the prestigious range.

As you’d expect, all the Michi hallmarks are there, including the brand’s own robust power supplies, rigorous circuit isolation, and low-noise architectures.

Michi Prestige from above

The X430 is a high-power, Class AB design offering up to 340W per stereo channel into 4 ohms (210W into 8 ohms). High-current output stages are paired with a low-noise foundation, fed from an in-house manufactured oversized custom toroidal transformer with optimised power and signal paths to minimise noise and distortion.

Its onboard DAC is crafted around an ESS SABRE 32-bit ES9039Q2M chip supporting coaxial, optical and USB inputs plus wireless aptXTM HD/AAC Bluetooth. There’s also HDMI ARC with CEC for seamless TV integration and one-remote simplicity.

Alongside dual subwoofer outputs, a 6.25mm headphone socket and user-selectable A/B speaker outputs add to its versatility, while a moving-magnet phono stage plus multiple analog inputs ensure vinyl and other sources are equally well served.

Michi Q430

The Michi Prestige Q430 CD player boasts a high-precision floating tray-loading mechanism to reduce mechanical vibration, while multi-stage, tightly regulated power supplies are there to suppress electrical noise across critical signal paths. A fully differential ESS SABRE 8-channel ES9028PRO DAC (32-bit / 768 kHz) assigns four DAC channels to each stereo output.

Connectivity includes RCAs and fully balanced differential XLR analog outputs plus a coaxial digital output

The X430 integrated amplifier costs £4,499, with the Q430 CD player coming in at £3,599. Visit michi-hifi.com to find out more.
