Edwards Audio has announced its new MC6 phono stage.
Designed and manufactured in the UK by TALK Electronics, the MC6 is the result of years of analogue engineering expertise, distilled into a one-box package that caters for both moving-magnet (MM) and moving-coil (MC) cartridges.
Made in the UK, the MC6’s non magnetic aluminium case houses a bespoke, low -noise linear PSU and RIAA equalisation circuit, employing an active bass and passive treble topology.
Other features include separate, optimised signal paths for MM and MC pick-ups, selectable via a rear-panel switch, plus configurable gain (42dB and 20dB) and loading via internal DIP switches.
Its FET input stage is married to a fully discrete, low-impedance Class A output stage.
