Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries (aka DALI) has announced its new entry-level Sonik series, billed as its next-generation loudspeaker.
The seven strong line-up boasts a range of innovations derived from the brand’s flagship Kore, Epikore and Epicon ranges, with enhancements including an improved transducer design, advanced magnet technologies and refined cabinet engineering.
Models include two standmount options with the Sonik 1 (£449) ultra compact two-way and larger woofered Sonik 3 (£599). For floorstander fans it starts with the slimline Sonik 5 (£899) and beefed up Sonik 7 (£1,299), with the Sonik 9 (£2,199) adding an extra 7″ bass driver.
Home cinema shoppers are catered for too, thanks to the On-Wall (£599) and Cinema models (£449).

Tech specs include ‘ultra-light’ 29mm soft dome tweeters with DALI’s ‘Hybrid Tweeter System’ in the 7 and 9 variants, whereby the dome is married to a 17 × 45mm planar magnetostatic tweeter. The range’s 5¼-inch and 7-inch mid/bass drivers are DALI’s low-loss variants, sporting the brand’s Clarity Cone membrane, crafted from paper and wood fibres.
Also on the menu is the brand’s SMC ‘Essential Magnet System’, originating from the Epicon series that uses a hybrid iron/SMC pole-piece, plus dual flare bass ports.
