Melco has introduced the E100A, as its ultimate digital music USB storage solution.
Offering 8TB of HDD storage, the E100A is designed from the ground up for hi-end music fans to store their digital music collections at the highest possible quality, bringing USB digital music to platforms including Aurender, Auralic, Lumin, J River and other PC based players.
Capable of handling audio data rates up to multi-channel 32-bit DXD 384kHz, the E100A also offers USB hub functionality, enabling it to be daisy chained into a system via a USB-A socket.
Its new mother board material combines a high-grade NDK clock, with the brand’s proprietary HS-S2 High Stability Storage System, which holds the specially-selected-for-audio HDD drive securely with added damping.
Rear panel connectivity also includes USB-B 3.0, while its 2mm thick steel chassis is further dampened by absorptive material in its specially designed feet.
