Pro-Ject Debut PRO B

Plan B

Three years on from celebrating its 30th anniversary with the Debut PRO deck, Pro-Ject has announced its replacement in the guise of the Debut PRO B.

While retaining much of the original’s award winning features, the all important B moniker has been added to signify its True Balanced Connection spec with the inclusion of all new pre-adjusted Pick-IT PRO balanced moving-magnet cartridge (worth £199).

Other feature include an 8.6” one-piece carbon-aluminium tonearm with fully adjustable VTA and azimuth, nickel-plated aluminium tonearm bearing block, non-magnetic aluminium platter with TPE damping and motor suspension with improved damping.

A belt driven system, it offers electronic speed change for 33, 45 and 78 RPM playback while its eight-layer hand-painted MDF chassis in comes in satin black or white finishes, residing on height adjustable metal feet.

Add to this a premium semi-symmetrical Connect-IT E phono cable and old plated RCA output connectors with a new MiniXLR balanced output and that £799 price tag seems more than justifiable
