Grado Signature S950 with amp

Walnut wonders

Open-back headphone specialist Grado has announced its new Signature S950 model. Building on the success of its recently released HP100 SE, the Signature S950 is the second headphone to become part of the new Signature line.

Following in Grado’s tradition of crafting its cans in real woods, this model is formed from Brazilian Walnut, selected for its density and resistance to decay – the first time Grado has chosen this family of woods.

Weighing in at 395 grams, the Signature S950 houses a headband that was first made available on the Signature HP100 SE model. It also gets a 52mm S driver trickled down from the HP100 SE which boasts a paper composite cone, with a high-flux magnetic circuit made from rare earth alloys and lightweight copper-plated aluminium voice coil.

A 6ft detachable Grado Signature Gold cable with 6.35mm jack comes as part of the package that hooks up to each housing via 4-pin balanced mini XLR plugs.
