German analogue audio specialist Clearaudio is continuing its quest for vinyl-listening perfection with the introduction of three new power solutions.
The Professional Power 12V and Professional Power 24V are a pair of turntable power supply upgrades, while the Terra Grounding Box is designed to eliminate ground loops and electromagnetic interference in your hifi system.
Priced at £900, Terra’s anodised aluminium casing is filled with a special type of sand that dampens vibrations and electromagnetic interference. A plug connected solely to the protective earth ensures that grounding occurs via the socket, without a direct connection to the mains power for additional safety and unwanted interference.
The rear of the Terra Grounding Box offers three connections for direct grounding (grounded) and three additional connections with potential difference (ground lifted), allowing you to tailor the setup to your specific needs, with three high-quality grounding cables included in the package.
Professional Power upgrades
The Professional Power 12V and Professional 24V are transformer-based, stabilised power supplies, offered as upgrades to the standard designs supplied with the brands’ turntables and bridging the price/performance gap with the Clearaudio’s flagship Smart Power range.
The Professional Power 12V costs £540 and is designed to partner Clearaudio’s Concept and Performance DC turntables, while the Professional Power 24V comes in at £900 and is aimed at the brand’s Innovation and Ovation models.
