Px8 S2 in case

Bowers & Wilkins is today introducing an updated version of its flagship headphones in the guise of the Px8 S2.

Billed as the best headphone Bowers & Wilkins has ever made, it’s designed to take the previous model to the next level with refinements also inspired by the recently launched Px& S3, that we reviewed back in April ’25.

And like the Px7 S3, the new Px8 S2 benefits from a slimmer form than its predecessor, which also means a new slimmer carry.  Added to this, the elements that elevate the Px8 S2 over the 7 variant are higher spec materials including a headband and ear pads shod in Nappa leather, in place of the cheaper model’s PU material.

The Px8 S2 also gets a premium spec aluminium arm mechanism with new exposed cable detailing and aluminium outer cups with embossed branding.

Inside reside 40mm Carbon cone drive units, which have been comprehensively redesigned with an improved chassis, voice coil, suspension and magnet. Like the rest of the Px range, they’re also angled to the listener’s ears to ensure a consistent distance from every point across the surface of each driver to each ear.

And these are driven by Bowers’ discrete headphone amplifier with DSP tech that caters for aptX Adaptive 24/96 wireless and aptX Lossless (3.5mm analogue and USB-C to C cables are also provided) with future proofing to boot, thanks to a series of over-air updates coming later this year including support for spatial audio listening and Bluetooth LE Audio, with AuracastTM broadcast further down the track.

Users can stream music directly from Bowers’ proprietary Music app with in-built support for Amazon Music, Qobuz and Tidal.

Priced at £629 and available in ‘Onyx Black’ and ‘Warm Stone’ finishes, visit Bowers & Wilkins to find out more.
