Radia ramps it up

Arcam is scaling up its Radia range with the addition of AV electronics and loudspeakers.

For the latter, the range includes the R15 and R25 bookshelf models, R35C centre channel, R25B subwoofer, and two floorstanding options with the R35 and R45, catering for stereo and home cinema setups alike.

Features include cross-braced cabinets shod in premium black walnut wood veneer with subtle yellow accents and magnetically attached grilles, plus optional solid metal stands for the bookshelf models.

All five passive models sport the same 25mm ‘Deep Ceramic Composite’ (DCC) aluminium dome tweeter mounted in an acoustic lens waveguide, with DCC midrange drivers for the R35 and R45 (measuring 130mm and 165mm respectively).

The range’s bass cones are formed from  ‘Micro Ceramic Composite’, with the R15, R35, and R35C models using a 130mm variants, while the larger R25 and R45 models get a 165mm versions. And for the R25B subwoofer, a 250mm coated fibre-composite woofer does the necessaries.

Theres more proprietary tech too, thanks to Arcam’s anechoic EQ (AEQ) built-in, when used with the brand’s partnering SA35 or SA45 streaming amplifiers.

The R15 costs £1,699 per pair wile the R25 are £2,599 per pair. The R35 is priced at £1,999 each, the R45 £2,999 each, the R35C is £1,699 and the R25B is £2,599.

On the electronics side, the new AV amps include the 12 channel AVA15, multi-zone nine channel AVA25, and the Class G AVA35. There’s also the AVP45 16 channel processor and PA4 and PA9 power amps to pick from.

Prices start from £899 for the PA4 through to £5,999 for the AVA35.
