Luxman is continuing to celebrate its 80th birthday, this time with the release of its B-100 Centennial mono power amplifier.
Joining its P-100 Centennial headphone amp, L-100 Centennial integrated amp and D-100 Centennial CD/SACD player stable mates, the B-100C is packed full of Luxman’s top tech including its Class A LIFES 1.1 feedback engine.
This equates to the amplifier operating in pure Class A up to 25W (8Ω), while delivering 125W into 8Ω and with an instantaneous peak output of 1,000 watts into 1Ω on offer.

Inside resides a large 1,250VA EI-core power transformer and sixteen custom-developed 10,000 μF filter capacitors, providing a total capacitance of 160,000μF.
Other marks of quality include gold-plated peel-coat printed circuit boards, analogue needle VU meters and a loop-less chassis formed from steel plates, layered to 5.5mm thick for its base, helping to account for its 61.5kg weight.

Connections include balanced (XLR) Neutrik inputs alongside single-ended (RCA) and premium Y-plug speaker binding posts.
