All analogue

Following on from Reference Audio’s Celebration of Analogue back in June, hifi expert Jason Ford has teamed up with AVID for a second celebration of music, artists, recording and reproduction.

Taking place on Saturday, 7 November at AVID’s Huntingdon HQ, the day will also mark the official release of Reema’s new album At Studio 3, recorded at Abbey Road Studios back in February and cut direct to vinyl by the highly respected LowSwing Records.

Visitors will get to hear Reema discuss her latest release and perform a selection of tracks live. (Signed copies of Live at Studio 3 will also be available for purchase on the day.)

The sessions will begin with Jason Ford presenting Supersense Mastercut direct-to-acetate recordings through a selection of musical demonstrations, with AVID head honcho Conrad Mas demonstrating an all AVID system and the analogue engineering behind it.

Reema and Matthias Lück of LowSwing Records will also be on hand to explain their approach to analogue recording and production, and present a selection of recordings from the label.
