Swiss high-end audio manufacturer Nagra is celebrating its unique pro-recording heritage by marking the 75th anniversary of its first product – the Nagra I portable reel-to-reel recorder – with a special double album.
Nagra 75th Anniversary Collection brings together remarkable recordings from across the company’s history, from Miles Davis and Quincy Jones performing together at the Montreux Jazz Festival to unique recordings of classic John Williams film scores.
Combining musical variety, historical interest and insights into Nagra’s recording expertise, the collection takes listeners from celebrated jazz performances and cinematic orchestration to more intimate acoustic settings.
Each recording retains its own distinctive musical character, with the presence, scale, texture and atmosphere of the original performance brought vividly to life.
Nagra 75th Anniversary Collection is available in four formats spanning 200g vinyl (45rpm), UHQCD (Ultimate High-Quality Compact Disc), hi-res download (up to DSD256) and master-quality reel-to-reel tape (limited to 100 copies).
