Twenty five and active

Unveiled in their oak clad flesh at this year’s Bristol HiFi Show, PMC has introduced its new Active twenty5i series, taking its passive models to the next level.

Comprised of four two-way models in the guise of the twenty5.21i, 22i, 23i and 24i variants, each one of their drive units is directly coupled to a matched 100W power amplifier for optimal performance.

In each’s circuit before prior to these power amps resides a custom designed analogue crossover, splitting the frequency bands of the incoming signal from balanced (XLR) or unbalanced (RCA) inputs.

Current passive owners can also fear not, as an active upgrade will be offered to existing owners of twenty5 and twenty5i speakers (21, 22, 23 and 24) via an easy-to-install active upgrade pack.
