Following in the footsteps of its recent colourful Kupid and affordable Sonik loudspeakers, Dali is adding a compact active subwoofer to its portfolio.
Created as a natural partner for said models, the brand’s new Basik sub combines an in-house designed 8″ down-firing long-stroke woofer with a 170W Class-D internal amplifier.
As is the Dali way, its woofer if formed using a high-quality paper-pulp membrane for low mass and high rigidity, mated to an oversized ferrite magnet and high-flux motor system with long vented voice coil.
And to help manage the amp’s 220W peak power, a built-in dual-stage limiter has been specified to help maintain signal integrity, while gain, crossover and phase controls are included to help integrate the Basik sub into a wide range of hifi systems.
