Q Acoustics has unveiled its latest compact affordable floorstander in its 3040c.
Joining the wider 3000c series, the 3040c stands at just 942mm high (including spikes and outriggers), while boasts Q Acoustics’ C3 core Continuous Curved Cone mid/bass drivers in twin 4.75″ sizes.
These woofers flank a floating design tweeter that’s hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated from the baffle. It’s also sits in a vented inner chamber to reduce distortion while catering for a lower crossover point.
Available in satin black, satin white, ‘Pin’ oak and ‘Claro’ walnut finishes, its cabinet features Point to Point (PTP) bracing and internal Helmholtz Pressure Equalisers (HPE) tubes, with the latter designed to nullify internal pressure and improve the speaker’s frequency response.
