US hi-end specialist McIntosh has announced its latest streamer, the DS200 Streaming DAC.
Featuring a cutting-edge 32-bit, 8-channel Quad Balanced DAC offering hi-res digital playback for DSD512 and DXD up to 384kHz via USB and 24-bit/192kHz via coaxial and optical inputs.
Its eight digital audio inputs include bluetooth plus HDMI (ARC) for TVs and soundbars, to convert Dolby and DTS multi-channel formats into two-channel audio.
Streaming service support includes for Spotify, Apple AirPlay 2, Roon Ready and TIDAL Connect while balanced and single-ended analog outputsin fixed variable mode also allows it to double up as a digital preamp.
