Get Hyper

Atlas is adding two new interconnect cables to its mid-priced Hyper range, with the RCA R1 and RCA Duo R1.

Boasting the brand’s trademark tech, including its ‘Superior Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) copper conductors, expanded PE dielectric, ‘Achromatic’ RCA connectors and oxygen free copper foil braid, both models are handmade, using the brand’s airtight metal-on-metal crimped connection at its Kilmarnock factory.

The Duo model is the higher priced and spec’d variant thanks to its symmetrical “pseudo-balanced” topology, with each cable’s ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ conductors surrounded by their own independent precision woven OFC screens.

At one end of the cable each of the screen pairs is connected to the cold connection in a pseudo balanced arrangement that drains both screens to earth, making the cable directional by manufacture, with signal flow arrow engraved on the preamp end plug.

Available in 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.5, 2 and 3 lengths as standard, prices start from £325 for the R1 model and £755 for the Duo variant.
