Dan Clark Audio’s Noire X on stand

His dark materials

Dan Clark Audio (or DCA for short)’s Noire X headphone is coming to the UK thanks to distributor Electromod.

Based in San Diego, USA, DCA is an artisan headphone maker holding six patents, meaning the Noire X is crammed with DCA’s class leading tech.

A closed-back design, they utilise a proprietary ‘Aeon’ planar driver and metamaterial tuning tech for a more open sound, derived from DCA’s top-tier Stealth and Expanse models, while costing a quarter of their price.

Other features include ultra-tough Gorilla Glass 3 on their cups, Alcantara synthetic suede on their memory foam pads, and a self-tensioning headband.

Connectivity is offered via a range of cable terminations, including combo 6.3mm and 3.5mm jacks, balanced 4.4mm and 4-pin XLR plugs.

With a 13Ω impedance and 94dB/mW, visit danclarkaudio.com to find out more.
