Made to love Magico

Californian loudspeaker supremo Magico has announced its latest model, the S2.

Benefiting from the development of the brand’s M9 and M7 models (priced at close to a million and half a million pounds respectively), the S2 is described as the compact floorstander within the brand’s middle-tier S Series range, at 110.4cm high.

Its sealed enclosure is formed from Magico’s largest-ever single-piece aluminium extrusion, with a full-length vertical brace to maximise rigidity, stiffness and damping. Within it are housed twin 17.8cm bass drivers and a 12.7cm midrange unit, both featuring Gen 8 Nano-Tec cones, plus a 28mm treble unit with a diamond-coated beryllium diaphragm.

Available in 12 colour options made up of two finish levels with six curated colours in each, the ‘Softec’ coated models cost £41,500 per pair, and the high gloss variants cost £49,998 per pair.
