Meet ENSO

Ultrafide Audio says it’s taking its pro-sound-to-home revolution to the next level, by launching its debut integrated amplifier, the ENSO (INT-125).

With a name inspired by the Japanese enso circle (symbolising completeness, unity and balance), the ENSO knocks out 125W per stereo channel into 8 ohms (250W / 4 ohms), using the brand’s trademark UltraSigma output topology.

Features include pre-amplifier controls, tone adjustments, an OLED display, in-built Class AB headphone amp, adjustable moving-magnet phono stage, and remote control.

Inside, its linear toroidal power supply draws on tech from its sister U500DC and SP500 power amps, while its preamp section’s bass and treble controls are designed by respected pro audio industry EQ engineer Alex Cooper.

Added to this is the amp’s send/return pre-out/power-in connectivity, allowing it to operate with passively driven loudspeakers or as part of a multi-amp, fully active system with external equalisation.

Priced at £3,500, visit Ultrafide Audio to find out more and see it in the flesh at the upcoming Bristol Hi-Fi Show.
