Danish pick-up specialist Ortofon is relaunching an updated version of its long-respected MC A90 moving-coil cartridge.
A hugely important product in Ortofon’s history some 17 years ago, thanks to its break-through aesthetic and construction method, it signalled a new era for the company’s high-end “Exclusive Series” range, which has since given rise to other popular products like the MC Verismo and flagship MC Diamond.
This new limited edition MC 90X model benefits from a range of advances the company has made in the years since, including a stainless-steel Selective Laser Melting (SLM) body, Ortofon’s Field Stabilising Element (FSE) and Wide Range Damping (WRD) tech plus updated rubber dampers and Replicant 100 Diamond stylus.
