Kent based Chord Electronics has launched its new hand built Ultima Pre 3 analogue preamplifier.
Heralded as a new ground-up design, the Ultima Pre 3 benefits from the Chord Electronics’ latest preamplifier technologies and fascia design, carefully crafted by the company’s founder and owner John Franks.
All five of the units analogue inputs (two balanced and three unbalanced) benefit from individual buffering and selective filtering from RFI, with selection switching performed via sealed relays, controlled by microprocessors.
All casework is precision-machined from solid aircraft-grade aluminium, including its Integra legs with a black acrylic side-block version available as an alternative to the Integra leg model. Dimmable LED light also add some visual drama from within its well vented casework.
Connectivity includes a separate AV bypass input and 5 V/3 A USB Type-A output to power external devices.
The Ultima Pre 3 costs £6,000 and comes in jett black or argent silver. Find out more at chordelectronics.co.uk.
