Marantz has announced two new matching separates to delight mid-market audio fans.
The Model 50 amplifier is an all analogue design offering 70W of Class AB power into 8 ohms per stereo channel, that’s delivered from the latest iteration of the brand’s HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) topology.
Sporting six analogue inputs, it also includes headphone jack and moving-magnet phono stage to ensure vinyl fans are well catered for.
The matching CD 50n digital player uses a 32-bit ESS Sabre DAC chip with custom in-house filters, catering for PCM files up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD data up to 256 via its USB input. Alongside CD playback, it can also act as a network player with access to streaming services including Spotify, AirPlay 2, Tidal and more, with HEOS built-in. And with an internal volume control, it can also be used as a digital preamp in its own right, making it very versatile.
Priced at £1,600 each, find out more at Marantz.com.
