Rotel is expanding its compact DX range with the new DX-5 stereo integrated amplifier.
Delivering 33W per channel into 4 ohms (25W at 8 ohms) of Class AB power, and fed by an in-house toroidal transformer serving high-current transistors, it comes packed with a range of usable features.
Alongside a traditional set of analogue RCA inputs, digital connections include PC-USB (up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM, DSD 4x), HDMI ARC, coaxial and optical (up to 24-bit/192kHz) plus aptX HD Bluetooth alongside SBC, served via a 768kHz ESS ES9039Q2M Sabre DAC that’s also Roon tested.
While on the outputs side, its loudspeaker terminals are joined by a dedicated subwoofer RCA and front panel headphone socket.
A front panel full-colour TFT display and aluminium remote complete the package.
