Portable audio pioneers HIDIZS has announced its new S8 PRO Robin, billed as an affordable hi-res headphone DAC for Andoid, iPhone and laptops.
Featuring 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs, plus support for files up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD256 thanks to dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 DACs, the player looks great value at just £79.
It also comes housed in an aluminium alloy body with intuitive physical buttons for volume adjustment and filter selection, plus there’s a handy sampling rate indicator for real-time checking on the audio quality you’re being served up.
