French hifi brand Advance Paris is sending its flagship Nova audio range to the UK, thanks to UK distributor Decent Audio.
The series includes two integrated amplifiers in the 130W per channel A-i130 and 190W per side A-i190. Both come packing a valve preamplifier stage with Class AB transistor amplification to blend the sonic character of valves with solid state power.

Resplendent in their brushed aluminium front panels (in black or silver), sporting illuminated VU meters and visible valves, they also get four-channel digital signal processing (DSP) room correction and independent EQ for their main speaker outputs and a pair of subs. HDMI eARC, USB and multiple digital inputs are on the spec sheets too, to serve a variety of digital sources.
The A-i130 insides include a moving-magnet phono stage with an optional rear-connecting streaming cartridge and Bluetooth dongle to make it a fully fledged network player. The A-i190 builds on its sibling’s spec with a dual-mono design, using two separate toroidal transformers plus XLR inputs and a balanced XLR pre-out, alongside a moving-coil phono stage and additional coaxial digital connectivity.

The Nova A-i130 costs £4,390 in basic guise, while the A-i190 comes in at £5,390 with the A-NTC streaming cartridge at £399, A-BTC Bluetooth dongle at £199 and an upgraded A-RTR rotary remote at £399 (over the standard remote).
