British loudspeaker legend Spendor has introduced mark 2 versions of its A-Line speaker range.
With four models on offer, spread across the A1.2 bookshelf, A2.2, A4.2, and A7.2 floorstanders, all are made in the brand’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Sheffield.
The two-way A1.2 features a refined internal bracing system directly behind the driver, with a constrained damping layer of Sorbothane to minimise unwanted vibrations.
The A2.2 model builds on its predecessor with its own constrained Sorbothane damping layer plus improved port tuning for better bass response.
Both the A4.2 and A7.2 get all of the above plus simplified crossover networks and lower crossover points for improved stereo imaging and smoother off-axis response. Elsewhere, a redesigned spider in their bass drivers and new 27mm soft-dome tweeter with wide surround rear-chamber also take both models to the next level.
