McIntosh has announced a new Bluetooth receiver add-on that’s designed to bring wireless music to legacy players.
With the ability to function as a transceiver or transmitter, the MB25 is compatible not only with Bluetooth streaming devices, but also physical media sources including CDs and vinyl records – making it a great fit for hifi fans looking to modernise a vintage system.
Designed as a compact, standalone unit with a relatively small footprint, the MB25 requires no third-party apps for operation and boasts Class 1 Bluetooth technology with a transmission range of up to 145.7 metres.
Connections include balanced and unbalanced analogue stereo in/outputs plus coaxial and optical digital in/outputs.
While on the wireless side its Bluetooth 5.0 tech supports AAC and Qualcomm aptX HD via its 32-bit DAC.
