Monitor Audio has introduced the latest generation of its Gold loudspeaker range, sensibly titled the Gold Series 6G.
The six strong range includes the 50 6G and 100 6G bookshelf and standmount models, plus two three-way floorstanders in the 300 6G mid-size model and larger 500 6G design, the latter sporting twin 8″ bass drivers.
And for home cinema fans there’s the C250 6G centre channel speaker and On-Wall 6G, designed to be mounted as its name suggests.
Building on 36 years of continuous development and infused with the brand’s latest cutting edge tech, their spec sheets include new metal ‘Hexagonal Diaphragm Technology’ cones, that draw on those featured in its Hyphn statement speaker and the Platinum Series, consisting of a Nomex honeycomb layer sandwiched between aluminium and carbon fibre skins.
High frequencies are handled by the latest generation of Monitor Audio’s MPD III (Micro Pleated Diaphragm) transducers, while updated crossovers, luxurious cabinets and supporting plinths for the floorstanders are all part of the package.
