SVS sub

Edge of 17

Karma-AV has announced that SVS’s flagship 17-Ultra Revolution subwoofer series is coming to UK shores.

Comprised of the sealed SB17-Ultra and ported PB17-Ultra models, the new models update their 16-Ultra predecessors with new 17″ dual voice-coil SVS drivers, dual mono-block Class-D amplification, uprated power supplies, advanced DSP and app control.

This places both models as the most powerful, sophisticated, and user-friendly subwoofers SVS has introduced to the consumer market.

Their high-excursion 17″ glass-fibre composite cones feature a 25kg toroidal ferrite magnet motor using SVS’s first dual eight”, copper- clad aluminium voice-coil resulting in infrasonic frequencies at 15Hz (-3db) for SB17-Ultra and 12Hz (-3db) for PB17-Ultra.

Inside, their new new dual monobloc STA-2800D Class-D amplifiers sport eight 60A/200V MOSFET output stages, while an onboard AC line conditioner and Power Factor Correction (to stabilise the incoming voltage) are there to keep the clean power flowing.

And with comprehensive app control and auto room correction, the SVS 17-Ultra Revolution models look to set the standard for the large hifi subs of today.

Available in black oak and ultra black gloss finishes, the sealed SB17-Ultra costs £3,250 and the ported PB17-Ultra costs £3,750. Visit SVS and Karma-AV in the UK to find out more.
