Welsh design house Ply-Fi has officially announced the launch of its Model 1 Tripod speaker stand.
Designed to bridge the gap between high-end acoustic isolation and contemporary interior styling, the Model 1 eschews the metals many brands favour and instead employs multi-layered, cross-grained timber as its main material, selected for its strength combined with its natural unwanted vibration diffusing properties.
Each stand is precision made at the company’s Barry workshop, machined from premium 20mm high pressure laminated Baltic birch.
The Model 1 costs £450 per pair and is debuting through a curated network of boutique UK showrooms, including VAL HiFi, Liquid Audio, Revelation Audio, and Chiltern Audio and internationally through Audio Ark in Canada and Stereo Stereo in the US.
