Tube army

US Audio giant McIntosh has announced its new MA2375 vacuum tube integrated amplifier, the brand’s first of its type in more than a decade.

Combining fully analog vacuum tube pre and power amplifiers in a single box delivering 75W per channel, the MA2375 boasts the brand’s Unity Coupled Circuit Output Transformers to serve loudspeakers spanning 4 to 16 ohm loads.

Other features include a built-in Power Guard Screen Grid Sensor (SGS) tech and ‘Sentry Monitor’ fuse-less protection.

The MA2375’s valve complement means four KT88 output tubes and four 12AT7 driver tubes, plus pairs of 12AX7A and 12AT7 preamp tubes.

Connectivity includes phono and subwoofer inputs plus pre and headphone outs, with the latter fed from a ‘high drive’ headphone amplifier with Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD)

Visually, the MA2375 stays true to McIntosh’s design language, featuring a polished stainless-steel chassis, visible tube illumination, and the brand’s signature blue watt meters.
