Evo ups its ante

Cambridge Audio has announced its new Evo 300 all in one player.

Delivering a substantial 300W per channel from its Hypex NCOREx Class D dual-mono amplification, the Evo 300 also boasts a balanced preamp stage and dedicated analogue volume controls for each channel.

Other internal highlights include an ESS Sabre ES9038Q2M DAC, providing support for high-res audio up to 32-bit/768kHz PCM and DSD512.

At the Evo 300’s heart CA’s StreamMagic Gen 4 platform integrates seemlessly with Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Deezer, Google Home, Apple AirPlay, Roon (multi-room and Ready), UPnP and internet radio over wifi or Ethernet.

Other features include a built-in moving-magnet phono stage, balanced XLR inputs, HDMI eARC for seamless TV integration and Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX HD.
