V8 power

Russ Andrews is marking its 40th anniversary with the release of its DeltaBlock mains extension.

Taking its cues directly from the tech behind the brand’s established Signature PowerBlock, DeltaBlock manages to be 50% smaller, by volume thanks to its V shaped (as opposed to inline) design than its bigger brother, making it ideal for more compact space demands.

Leading the performance improvements is a new circuit board, which provides an even distribution of power to each side of the block while enabling a new and more effective way of incorporating the brand’s Silence mains filter and SuperClam surge protection.

It can also be upgraded to the company’s MegaClamp flagship surge protection.

Internally, the block is wired with Kimber Kable’s TCX copper wire, while connectivity is via eight cryogenically treated UltraSockets, mounted in an inverted manner to help accommodate beefy plugs and stiffer cables easier. The DeltaBlock also features a grounding terminal for use with Russ Andrews’ RF Routers and SuperRouter grounding solutions.

Its 10A IEC mains socket input allows the user to specify a mains cable of their choice, and a 10A IEC output socket at the opposite end permits daisy-chaining to another block, connecting a ninth piece of kit, or hooking up a stand-alone mains filter such as the PowerPurifier.

Manufactured from tough UL94-VO ABS, the casework is custom designed by Russ Andrews, being both fire resistant and durable.

Priced at £949 with the MegaClamp option costing an additional £235, visit Russ Andrews to find out more.
